Religious Formation

As a Religious Education program we, along with the

assistance of so many dedicated volunteers, try to create and organize a program which is alive and loving. Our faith formation program offers children a comprehensive background in the basic tenets of our faith. The goal of our program is to be a strong support to the primary religious education that the children receive in the home. As part of the program, children actively participate in meaningful worship, in-depth sacramental preparation, and ongoing moral development. Classes are held at Our Lady of Peace School on Sunday mornings, following the 10:00 a.m. liturgy.

Altaration: The Mystery of the Mass Revealed

DownloadRegistrationPacketDUE OCTOBER 11This fall, our High School Youth Ministry will be focusing on the mystery of the Mass in: Altaration. This series will highlight the core of our Catholic faith and specifically what we do and why we do it.

Altaration is a 5 week DVD and group discussion series for High School Students where we will answer many of the questions about the Mass that each one of us has asked at some point:

• Why do I have to go to Mass?

• Why don’t I get anything out of going to church?

Is Jesus really present in the Eucharist?

Please make note of the dates and time for the series: Thursdays from 6:30-8pm on October 13, October 20, October 27, November 3, November 10 and November 17 at the OLS Gathering Room.

To register, call Steve Wallo at (570)586-1741, go to www.olsparish.net, or download the packet here and send it to the address below by October 11, 2016:
